Now is your chance to see two terrific exhibits before they leave; “Pablo Picasso ceramics/Carlos Luna paintings” is only on view through February 23, 2009 and “Coming of Age: American Art, 1850s to 1950s” is on view through March 23, 2009. "Picasso/Luna" pairs recent painting by Cuban exile and now MOAFL Artist in Residence Carlos Luna, with fifty Picasso ceramics from the Museum's collection. "Coming of Age" chronicles a century of art with masterworks from the Hudson River School to mid-century Abstract works. "Eight Bells" by Winslow Homer Cindy Curtis has been singing in her native South Florida since the 1970’s. In 1974 she performed with renowned Jazz musician Dave Bruebeck as part of the Washington University Vocal Ensemble in his original cantanta at the Kiel Opera House in St. Louis. She performs with her trio at South Florida clubs and festivals. They recently played at Arturo Sandoval's Jazz Club in Miami Beach, Florida. Other performance sites have included the Riverwalk Sunday Jazz Brunch, the Norton Museum’s Jazz on the Lawn, Delray Art and Jazz on the Avenue, City of Weston’s Jazz Series, Main Street Live-Miami Lakes, Deerfield Beach Festival of the Arts, and Downtown at the Gardens Thursday Night Jazz Series in West Palm Beach.
